Attention 8th-grade returning Junior Honor Society members: Don't forget that tomorrow we are meeting for lunch in Mrs. Taylor's room to discuss plans for our upcoming year! Be sure to check your email for meeting details. See you there!
Just a reminder that if you are interested in joining Student Council to pick up a petition form from either Mrs. George’s or Mrs. Leek’s room. Our first meeting is this Friday, August 25th; hope to see you there!
A Call Out meeting for Chess Club is on Friday, Aug. 25th during HS lunch in Room D113.
Chess is a great hobby that you’ll enjoy your entire life. Most people think that chess is hard and you have to be super smart. The game is actually easy to learn and for beginners doesn’t take much memorization.
At first, it will not be competitive. We will take whatever time needed to teach everyone how to play and more. All high schoolers are welcome from beginners to experienced players.

The Morgan Township Middle School Student Council is a group of students who work to make MTMS a positive experience for all students and faculty members. It is made up of leaders of the 6th, 7th, & 8th grade classes who apply and are accepted as members.
If you feel that you have a positive attitude, please stop by Mr. Ennis's room (D111) or Mrs. Rettker's room (B101) to pick up an application packet.
SPORTS
There will be a boys basketball call-out meeting for 9-12th grade on Thursday, August 24 in D-109 at 7 AM. If you cannot attend, please see Coach Krieger for details.
The boys basketball teams are also looking for a few good men and women to be managers this year. If interested, please see Coach Krieger in D-109.
Boys Soccer beat Winamac 10-1 last night. Cooper Spagna, Brayden Cuson, Grant Cowger, Beau Engibous, Chance Hunsley, Lincoln Riley, and Remi Foreman all scored. Logan Atchison and Jake Weltzin led the defense and each had an assist. Beau, Brayden, Chance, Cooper, Grant, and Ismael Torres also had assists. The Team travels to New Prairie tonight with a kickoff time of 5:00 PM Central Time.
