Morgan township played TJ middle school last night and came out on top with a 41-22 win. It was a great team win and everyone contributed in a huge way. Trey Willingham led the team with 9 points and Wyatt Craigin provided a great second half spark with 6 points. Colin Augsburger also had 6 points with Vaunn Bailey getting 5 and grabbing some big rebounds. They moved to 2-1 for the season and the next game is tonight against Liberty Middle School at 5pm.
Our Morgan 8th grade boy’s extend to 3-0 after winning a hard fought game at home last night against TJ with a final score of
56-54. Leading the scoring was Gio Garcia-Torres with 19, followed by Clayton Atchison with 18, and Gavin Lamere with 10. Johnathan Rachford came through with a few clutch rebounds deep in the 4th that kept the possession favoring Morgan.
Congratulations to Gio Garcia-Torres winning the Cherokee award as he soldiered the team to victory showing impressive play on both sides of the floor!
